"This second release from talented Bay Area songwriter Elizabeth Edwards has an appealing full band sound ranging from acoustic folk to rock' expertly produced and arranged. Edward's voice is warm and expressive, delicate and compelling. Singable melodies and thoughtful sophisticated lyrics (at times reminding me of Mary Chapin Carpenter) make this a cut above the usual fare. I especially enjoyed the sweet melancholy rock ballad "Surrender to win" , Hoka Hey ," a story song about a homeless Native American healer, and thought provoking Paper Thin Paper Doll" about the false images the media holds up for women. Recommended! "

McLachlan would surely have appreciated Elizabeth Edwards message - the Benicia based vocalist - one of 20 finalist from pool of 700 to audition for 2 local artist spots at this years Shoreline Amphitheatre Lilith Fair - sang a song called "Paper Thin, Paper Doll". "I want to dedicate this to anyone who's ever been on Weight Watchers." Edwards told the crowd. She then strummed and sang her song, one of the best received of the day's selections.
